Have you ever reviewed a large file in SDL Trados Studio with numerous repetitions and struggled with confirmed segments not being propagated to the rest of the file? Here is what to do.
Imagine you have a big file to be reviewed that contains many repetitions. You review a segment, confirm it, but it is not propagated to the rest of remaining identical segments. In this case, you end up reviewing and confirming the same segments again and again in spite of the fact that Tools -> Options -> Editor -> Auto-propagation is enabled.
The solution easy (but may not work in every case): try to switch off the “Track Changes” feature on the “Review” tile.
If you succeed, you may save yourself a lot of time. On the other hand, you may face a problem, if a client requires the “Track Changes” to see the actual modifications.
At last the answer to my not-so-auto-propagation problem… Thank you so much! Worked perfectly 🙂
Welcome. It was a pain in the neck for me too…
It s not working correctly, I am unable to filter out all repetitions and see only first occurences + unknown segments, which would be very useful for editing. I still need to use workarounds here.
Try to filter only for “New Translated Content”. Is that what you need?
